Around The Basin’s Community Involvement

ATB are proud to be involved in Queenstown community through sponsoring athletes, clubs and other initiatives. Around The Basin also run a school bike maintenance workshop once per year and take Wakatipu students on a guided bike ride.

Hamish is a multi-sport and adventure athlete. Challenge and adventure are what he seeks. Racing, mountain biking, ski-touring, paragliding, trail running and rock climbing are all on his list.

Kate Fluker

Kate is one of NZ’s top female mountain bikers, specialising in both XC and stage racing. Kate can usually be found at the pointy end of the field and is not one to shy away from a but of suffering.

Around The Basin are proud to support the Queenstown Kayak Club. Steve Norton (ATB owner) is a renowned kayak coach and dedicates much of his spare time to the club, caring for boats and athletes alike. He runs training sessions every Monday evening.

Other 

Bee The Change

Around The Basin are proud supporters of Bee The Change, an initiative set up by Neal McAloon to help restore bee numbers in the Wakatipu. Bees are extremely important for our ecosystems due to their roll in pollination and we are proud to be contributing to this project.
