Electric Vs Analogue

Short on time but still want to experience the best of Queenstown’s wine country? The Half Day Bike the Wineries Ride is the perfect afternoon adventure. Enjoy a relaxed ride through the stunning Gibbston Valley, visit award-winning cellar doors, and take in the views – all without needing a full-day commitment.

What to Expect

Your journey starts with a 25-minute shuttle from Queenstown to our Arrow Junction bike hub, where we’ll set you up with:

  • A high-quality mountain bike or E-bike
  • Helmet and winery map
  • A detailed trail briefing to get you confidently on your way

From Arrow Junction, the ride begins with a scenic 7 km undulating trail alongside the Arrow and Kawarau Rivers. You’ll cross two beautiful suspension bridges – including the famous Kawarau Bridge, home to AJ Hackett Bungy – before joining the Gibbston River Trail.

From there, the afternoon is yours to ride and explore at your own pace. Visit a few wineries, enjoy tastings, grab a vineyard lunch, or simply cruise between cellar doors soaking up the views of vine-covered hills, cliffs, and river gorges.

No need to ride back –  we’ll pick you up from your final winery and return you to Queenstown in time for the evening.

  • Full Day Ride – Includes time in Arrowtown, extra riding, more bridge crossings, and more time for winery visits
  • ¾ Day Ride – Starts earlier than the Half Day but finishes at the same time, giving you more time at the wineries

Not sure which is right for you? If you want maximum wine time, choose the Full Day. If you’re after a balance of flexibility and leisure, try the ¾ Day. But if your morning is booked or you prefer a later start, the Half Day is ideal.
