Multi-Day Self-Guided Ride | 3 Days | 85+ km total

We’ve combined three of our most popular trails into one unforgettable package – designed for keen riders who want to explore the very best of the Queenstown Trail. Enjoy epic alpine scenery, riverside trails, and world-class wineries, all at your own pace with full support and shuttles included.

What’s Included

  • 3 days bike or e-bike hire (select at checkout)
  • Helmets, maps, and daily trail briefings

Minimum 2 riders per booking. Accommodation is not required—return to Queenstown each day.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1: The Hugo Tunnel Loop

Distance: ~33 km | Ride Time: 2.5–3 hours
Trail Grade: Mostly Grade 2–3 | Terrain: Undulating, scenic riverside and forest trail

  • A scenic loop ride from central Queenstown
  • Ride along the Shotover and Kawarau Rivers
  • Tackle the thrilling Hugo Tunnel section
  • Return via Arthurs Point with optional cafe stops
  • Perfect warm-up for the adventure ahead

Day 2: Arrowtown to Queenstown

Distance: ~35 km | Ride Time: ~3 hours
Trail Grade: Mostly Grade 2 | Terrain: Rolling hills, riverside, and lakeside trail

  • Shuttle to Arrowtown (9:00 am departure)
  • Explore historic Arrowtown and grab a coffee before setting off
  • Ride the Arrow River Trail to Morven Ferry
  • Follow the Twin Rivers Trail along the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers
  • Finish with a relaxing lakeside trail into Queenstown Bay

Day 3: Bike the Wineries (Arrowtown to Gibbston)

Distance: 18–25 km | Ride Time: ~2.5 hours (flexible)
Trail Grade: Grade 1–2 | Terrain: Gentle and scenic

  • Shuttle to Arrowtown (9:30 am departure)
  • Ride the Arrow River Bridges Trail to the Kawarau Bungy Bridge
  • Continue into the Gibbston Valley Wine Region
  • Visit cellar doors, breweries, and cafes at your own pace
  • Pick-up at 4:30 pm from your chosen winery for return to Queenstown

Please Note: The Big Day Out, Arrowtown to Queenstown and The Hugo Tunnel Loop rides are not advised for children as they are a large distance and have hilly terrain.

 

Child Electric Bikes (8-14 years)

We have 24″ or 26″ E-Bikes. Children must be at least 135 cm/4 ft 6″ tall and capable riders.

 

Child Mountain Bikes (5-14 years)

We have  16″, 20″, or 24″ bikes; or XS, S, M adult bikes.

 

Infants (0-4 years)

We have either Child Trailers or Tag-A-Longs/Half-Bikes. Please be aware that tag-a-longs/half-bikes require balance and the skills to hold on independently. 

Child Trailer

Our preference is for infants to use Child Trailers. They are stable and safe, and can fit either two small infants (<20kg) or one larger infant (<40kg).
