Our Gibbston Bike Hub opens for bike hire on 19 October. Before then, hire is available only by prior arrangement with our team. Keen to ride earlier? Give us a call and we’ll see what we can organise.

Timings

  • 2hrs, 4hrs or 8hrs
  • Our Gibbston Bike Hub is open between 9am-5pm
  • Return your bike to the pick up location.
 

Please allow enough time to explore, enjoy scenic stops, and return your bike before closing.

Biking Options

Create your own adventure from our Gibbston Bike Hub. Popular options include:
  • Gibbston Valley Wineries – explore cellar doors and vineyards at your own pace (most wineries open from 11:00am)
  • Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridges – ride along the Kawarau River to the swing bridges and back (approximately 10 km return)
  • Gibbston to Arrowtown Return – a scenic longer ride for confident cyclists (approximately 50 km return)
  • Queenstown Trail Explorer – enjoy the surrounding river, valley, and mountain scenery at your own pace

Good to Know

  • Wineries, tastings, and food are not included
  • E-bikes are recommended for a more relaxed ride
  • Allow extra time for stops, photos, and exploring the valley
  • Bikes must be returned before the Bike Hub closes at 5:00pm
